The Mount Pleasant Public Library is a joint municipal library supported by the Town of Mount Pleasant and Village of Pleasantville. The Library received its charter from NY State in 1965 and serves residents, students and workers in the Town of Mount Pleasant, outside the incorporated villages, and the Village of Pleasantville.
The Main Library is located in the Village of Pleasantville, at the intersection of Bedford Road and Romer Avenue. The Branch Library is in the Town of Mount Pleasant Recreation center on Lozza Drive.

From January – early May, our INDOOR market is held in the Pleasantville Middle School every Saturday from 9am – 1pm. On Memorial Day Weekend we move back OUTDOORS to Memorial Plaza and operate every Saturday until late November from 8:30am to 1pm

Exhibitions include first-run independent features, previews, classic films, and documentaries from around the world.
