Top Reasons To Sell Your Home

1- Inventory is low.  New an existing homes for sale are at a historic low.  Low inventory with increasing demand from buyers mean more offers.

2- Mortgage rates are low. Buyers don’t want to wait too long to take advantage of the low rates right now.  This benefits you by having more buyers and allow you to take advantage of those same low rates in financing a new home.

3- Home Prices are up.  That same low inventory drives prices up. You may be able to get more for your home that you thought.

4 – Real Estate is Local.  While a national look at the market is important, your local market can be used to your advantage.  As an expert of your neighborhood I know how to utilize its merits.

5- Proven market strategy. Marketing a home is an art and Antonette DeRose has the tools and experience to see you home in the the quickest and most profitable way possible.

Why Home Staging Matters

Spring is in the air!

Daylight savings time will begin at 2:00 AM on Sunday, March 8, 2020.  Remember to set your clock ahead one hour.

Springtime brings many new opportunities.  If it’s time to buy or sell your home, please call me (914) 263-8971.  I’m happy to discuss your options in the real estate market.

Here is a little history of Daylight Saving (not Savings) Time. In 1908, a small area of Canada, Port Arthur (today’s Thunder Bay) was the first region to adopt a change of the clocks by moving one hour forward. The first country to initiate a standard DST was Germany in 1916, 2 years into WWI. The rationale was to minimize the use of artificial lighting to save fuel for the war effort. Soon to follow were: UK, France and others. In the US, “Fast Time” was introduced in 1918; however, it was not officially adopted until 1942 during WWII and in place until 1945. From “45 to”66 there were no official rules which created confusion for train and bus schedules. Finally in 1966, the Uniform Time Act was established to synchronize DST. As with anything else there are proponents and opponents that argue both sides and of course studies that can back up the arguments as well.
